RustStop™ RX100™ can be applied onto already painted surfaces, new steel surfaces, and, even rusted surfaces.

Once applied, RustStop™ RX100™ goes to work immediately. Firstly - it penetrates into every microscopic crack and crevice of the metal expelling any traces of moisture or oxygen. Secondly - as it dries, it completely seals the surface, thus preventing the moisture carrying oxygen from entering and also bonds with the metal.  Put simply, RustStop™ RX100™ suffocates the metal/rust – thus preventing the substrate from breathing.Once cured (up to 48 hours), RustStop™ RX100™ will dry to a flexible, water repellent, non-conducting, long-lasting coat that is capable of handling very high heat. (300 deg C) RustStop™ RX100™ is a non-toxic, non-flammable, solid-state coating, that does not crack or peel.

RustStop™ RX100™ dries to a transparent coat; therefore visual inspection of equipment and surfaces is not impaired.When applied as directed, a two-coat treatment of RustStop™ RX100™ will provide long-term rust protection under the harshest conditions.

A:No, RustStop™ RX100 is designed to be a stand-alone protective coating and there is no need to paint over it.

A:Not at all, RustStop™ RX100 is very simple to apply and can be done using a standard paintbrush, enamel roller or paint spray-gun.

 Q:How much surface preparation is needed?

A:Very little, you will need to remove any flaking and loose rust, and ensure the metal is dry and free from grease before application. RustStop™ RX100™ can be applied directly over existing rust and will penetrate and stop it from spreading any further.

A:RustStop™ RX100™ is very long lasting and if applied properly will provide long term, permanent protection.
 

Q:What size containers is RustStop™ RX100™ available in?

A:RX100 is primarily an industrial product and so is not available in retails packs. The standard size is 20L drums, but other packs can be offered on request. 250ml and 1L samples packs can also be arranged.

 Q:Can RustStop™ RX100™ be used as a clear coat, no wax covering over a vehicle's paint job?

A:No, this is not advisable as the gloss finish may vary over large sections.

 Q:Can RustStop™ RX100™ be used on metal that is submerged in water?

A:No, RustStop™ RX100™ is designed for use on open air structures.
